Hi, my name is Christina Ledesma. I am a pianist and a painter based in Chicago. The natural world and abstractions of reality, including melodic dissonance are themes my work focuses on.
Playing on the piano whether my own music or a cover is a daily practice. I also work with acrylic paint, oil, and watercolor. For example, a recording of an original song is referenced to create a visual composition, or vice versa. Inspirations include wide ranges from the sludgy sounds of Acid Bath to the soothing color pallet of Monet. The solace provided from my inspirations enable flow.
The visuals and sounds I create challenge the idea of convention. When I share my work, I hope others can feel invigorated to interpret the various nuances of hue and pitch.
